The activity room is where children can come in small groups and experience activities, interaction and other planned learning. We have games, arts and crafts, and story sacks.
We feel it is very important for children to experience small group work as well as individual and large group work, so this quiet extension gives children every opportunity.
The simplest and most obvious activity is to come up with a list of body movements that can be done standing at a desk. DIS also motivates children in routine exercises like jumping jacks and jogging, so there is good blood circulation throughout the body. Our physical education teacher also helps students in these activities.
